You were standing behind a couch, which was occupied by a man with light brown hair who was reading a book. You glanced to your left. The hallway. I'm going to get to that hallway.
You raised your foot slowly before placing it back on the ground at the same pace.
"Welcome home, [y/n]" the man said, not bothering to look up from his book. "How was your killing spree?"
"It was fine," you shrugged, inwardly upset at not being able to make it to the hallway. "But, I'm just going to go-"
"Not so fast, [y/n]." the man still didn't look up. "I know you missed one of the victims."
You groaned. "Come on, Jason! Give me a break." you complained. "It was getting late-almost daytime-and Peter and I were getting tired. You know how hard it is to put on a show." You pouted.
Jason sighed. "Just don't miss anymore tonight, okay [y/n]?"
"Aye, aye, Capitan." you smiled. "Come on Peter!" The little albino rabbit yawned and you skipped over to the hallway and into your room.
Jason watched you and sighed again, shaking his head.

You stared at the three rings laying on your bed, wondering if you should take them or not, when Peter suddenly hissed. You looked down at him. The albino rabbit was currently sitting on your bed, glaring out the window.
You followed Peter's gaze and found that he was looking at Mr. Smith's house, your neighbor.
"What is it Peter?" you asked him. The rabbit ignored you and continued to stare at your neighbor's house.
You watched him for a while longer, before deciding to go to Mr. Smith's house and see what was bothering your friend. You closed your suitcase and the sound of it snapping shut brought Peter out of his daze. The rabbit scrambled over to you and climbed up to your shoulder.
You turned away from your bed and headed out your room, but at the doorway you stopped and glanced back at your bed and rings laying on top of it.
"What the heck," you shrugged, snapping your fingers. The rings disappeared from your bed, and reappeared in your hands. "Better safe then sorry."

You stood outside Mr. Smith's house, at the door. You raised your hand and knocked, waited a few minutes, and knocked again. No one answered. You were tempted to ring the doorbell, but then remembered, it was broken.
Damn. Guess I'll just have to let myself in then.
As soon as you thought the words you and Peter materialized inside the house. Once inside the building Peter hissed again, his red eyes narrowed.
You looked at him out of the corner of your eye. The last time he ever hissed was when you went to that circus with Jason, and that was because of the clowns.
"Is there a clown in the house, Peter?" you asked him.
The rabbit didn't answer your question and you heard a thump on the floor above, followed by a scream that was cut short. You looked up at the ceiling.
"That doesn't sound good."

Chapter Nineteen
BEN tugged on your hand, signaling you to continue forward. Upon reaching the edge of town, BEN had you close your eyes, claiming that the surprise would be ruined otherwise. You remained silent, excitement racing through your veins the further you went.
There was a slight shake in BEN’s hand, making you curious. Was he nervous? You were just joking about caring of course, so of course he couldn’t be nervous. Though he had gone through so much trouble to “surprise” you. Deep down you knew he still had to kill you, despite how close you were right now.
“Alright. Here we are.” BEN said, l

"Damn you Jack." BEN growled and rolled his eyes. "I was kinda in the middle of something." He rose to his feet from his seat on the bed next to you. You let a small sigh escape your lips and stood up, joining him on his way to the door. "Is there any way to avoid this?" You asked hopefully, not prepared to officially meet the head of the house and the person looking forward to your immanent destruction. BEN shook his head, clearly expecting the question. "Of course not. It'd be worse if we didn't go." He said slowly, prolonging the time before he opened the door.
A small amount of fear swelled up in your chest, constricting your thr
